Skincare ampoules are the new must-have product in the beauty world at the moment.
Similar to serums, ampoules are supercharged and far more potent, making them ideal to use when targeting a specific skin concern for a period of time.
And with the harsh winter weather here, there’s no better time to give you skin a bit of TLC.
I got the chance to try out one recently, from South Korean brand Atomy, when I was given a sample of the Absolute Ampoule (priced at £36 for 40ml).
South Korea has become renowned for excellent skincare, and ampoules have been dubbed the ‘Korean woman’s secret weapon’.
I wanted let in on the secret – not least because I’m keen to have my skin in tip-top condition for my wedding next year!
Niacinamide, glycolic and lactic acids in the ampoule help to renew and rejuvenate the skin, and are combined with other exotic sounding ingredients including japonica root extract, Lupin Protein and Yosemite Fermented Extract.
The serum comes in a little dropper bottle, designed so that you can easily measure out the dosage of one or two drops. A little goes a long way.
The formula is light and isn’t sticky (which is an absolute bugbear of mine), and sinks into the skin quickly, making it suitable to apply in the morning under makeup, as well as before bed at night.
I’ve only been using the product for a few weeks, but I’ve already had a few comments about my skin looking really healthy and glowing – which can be quite a feat for this time of year!
An incredible 15 million people across the globe have already tried Atomy’s skincare, and when it launched, there was a waiting list of 40,000 people.
