40 Shades of Nude

Get Naked with Bare Minerals’s Gen Nude

I love going nude. I am of course talking about my makeup, you naughty people, and more specifically, my lips.

Don’t get me wrong, bold lip colour is gorgeous and makes a real statement, but my go-to colour for day-to-day (and quite often evenings too) is definitely more on the natural side.

Recently I was sent a sample for BareMinerals’s new Gen Nude collection. The range is made up of 40 nude shades (mauves, pinks, peaches and beiges) in four different formulas – from a matte lip colour to a more creamy blend, gloss and lip liner.
I tested out Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick (RRP £18) in Baby, one of the pink shades. The colour was a little too light for my own skin tone personally (but with plenty to choose from you’re sure to find one that suits), but I loved the creamy formula, almost similar to a lip balm consistency, and the richness of the colour I got with just a few light dabs.

I also tested out Gen Nude Butter Cream Lipgloss (RRP £17) in ‘Must Have’ which was a lovely rosy pink hue. The formula again was pigment-rich and gave a lovely sheen with a ‘balm’ like consistency, without that heavy ‘gloopy’ feeling you sometimes get with some glosses.

Fancy going nude too? Head to www.bareminerals.co.uk to see the full range.
