Ms_mua tells us some of her skincare secrets..
When working on clients a question I am often asked is how I achieve the
glow to my own skin? My response is always I start by using the correct
skincare and creating a perfect canvas for applying make-up. I personally
feel you have to have your skin fully prepared, plumped and ready to ‘glow’
as it’s most certainly ‘all about that base ‘ for me .
If I could recommend any skincare it would have to be my own personal
favourites Rodial and nipandfab . My favourite product from Rodial is
their Snake booster oil. This product offers a vacuum like quality to the
skin, once you try this fantastic oil you will see exactly what I mean.
I absolutely love everything about Rodial and after reading the book ‘How to
become an overnight success’ by Maria Hatzistefanis the company founder and
CEO of Rodial it has made me admire them even more. Skincare is so
important is often a step people either miss or neglect and this is why I
could genuinely talk about skincare all day long.
For that ‘glow on the go’ I have a couple of favourites . I like to use the
Mario Badescu facial spray this gives a natural boost of hydration to the
skin and keeps you looking fresh and hydrated. I love to use this product
in between applying my base as it adds that little extra dew to the skin.
My other favourite is the Nip and fab hydrate dragons blood essence mist ,
this one is ‘fab’ for keeping your complexion plumped , fresh & looking
flawless. This product includes key ingredients that help with the
appearance of fine lines and also boosts the elasticity of the skin .
As a woman in my early 30s I am always conscious of wearing makeup that not
only flatters but is appropriate to my age bracket.
Whilst we live in an age of instagramable makeup which I love to see as the
talent in the UK is amazing I feel for real life day to day people this
style isn’t appropriate.
When applying makeup I always think what can I enhance on this persons face,
we all have our individual facial features which we should try enhance and not
gloss over. Whether this be eyes ,cheek bones, lips whatever this may be
they are unique to you and I feel we need to work on showcasing this a lot more.
Sometimes I think a wash of one colour over the eye can be enough to make
the eyes pop and for this I love to use a bronzer its perfect for that day to day look and if you want to glam it up for the
evening to add that bit of wow to your eyes you can pop some liner in your waterline and buff this under the eye.
A little tip , I like to use the Nyx cosmetics extreme shine eyeliner in golden bronze this product is such a lovely shade
and gives an almost metallic effect to the eye , really does give you that soft glam , sultry look.
